Honestly I haven't tried this yet but I am surprised at its price if it is real VERISOL collagen.
I've tried many different brands of collagen (California, Neocell, etc) and I finally found out that the only brand that is effective to me is the one with VERISOL collagen. No kidding I can literally see my under-eye wrinkles soften and decrease in depth whenever I take VERISOL collagen (around 2-3 weeks for the effect to show). When I switch to other brands, the wrinkles are more obvious again. My usual purchase is the Country Life Maxi-collagen. I've also tried Life extension Hair Skin Nail Plus Formula which also works but I prefers powder form for my collagen.
I believe that VERISOL Collagen works like magic because it is specifically hydrolysed to particular form of peptides. The dermal layer of the skin will recognize this specific peptide as an increase in the breakdown of the skin's own collagen and thereby stimulate the fibroblast to increase their metabolic activity and synthesize new collagen and all other extracellular matrix proteins. VERISOL was clinically shown to (1) increase skin elasticity, (2) reduce wrinkles, (3) improve skin surface structure and reduce cellulite, (4) promote growth and health of fingernails and (5) increase hair thickness.
Most importantly, most of the clinical studies aforementioned showed that daily intake of 2.5g VERISOL collagen is already effective. That's why for almost all other brands (Country life, Life extension, Vital proteins, etc), they offer exactly 2.5g of VERISOL collagen per portion. I am super surprised when I find that Natural Factors is so generous to put 10g of VERISOL in one portion (So surprised that I even doubt that if it is real). Even the price is nearly double of Country Life, if you calculated based on the amount of VERISOL collagen, this one actually contains 5.066667 times VERISOL of that of Country Life. So if you do the maths, this one is much cheaper.
Since I've proved that 2.5g of VERISOL is already effective for me, I plan to just take 1/4 of the recommended portion (13g), i.e. around 3.25g. In this way, this one can last me almost 5 months (It's really a steal!) (I am suddenly worried that after reading this review, the manufacturer will realize this one is underpriced and will increase the price :P)
I will try this one after I finish my current Country Life one. If I remember, I will update you guys with the effect (whether my under-eye wrinkle shows up again).
